This year I did have the chance to join to Power Platform Community Conference (PPCC) in Las Vegas.

I’m going to tell you day by day here. I will share what I did and what I say. I will also mention what excited me and what still leaves me doubtful. It’s not only technical because I share my journey in Las Vegas outside of the walls of the conference.

So this time it’s not going to be only one article. It will be a series of articles. Many things need to be said.

Day 0 : Traveling to Las Vegas

I’m living in France, just near the border of beautiful Switzerland. The first step is taking a boat to go to Switzerland. Then I take the airplane at the airport in Geneva.

Going from Geneva to Las Vegas it’s a very long trip.

9 hours of airplane to Washington DC. Then waiting 3 hours in Washington DC. After that, 5 hours of plane again to Las Vegas.

The total travel time is 21 hours if I count the 3 hours spent in the airport of Geneva. Yes, I always go early to the airport to avoid long lines. This helps when registering my luggage or in the security check.

Like we say in France : When we love we don’t count.

After this long trip, here I am back in Las Vegas for the third time. This place is very special.

Day 1 : Las Vegas

First wake up in Las Vegas. It’s always a bit magic to be there. For some, it’s a place of entertainment. For others, it’s a place for working and networking with Conferences. But for everyone in my thoughts, it’s a bit special. This year I decided to see different aspects of the city.

I don’t know for you, but I always like to explore places. After waking up, I spend my morning walking in the streets of Las Vegas.

Then it’s time for lunch before heading to the conference center to get my pass and swag. I love swag!

Everything seems so close because everything is giant in Las Vegas. In reality, going everywhere makes you walk a long time. My hotel is nearest of the hotel hosting the conference and I still have 1.2km to get there !

After that, I went prepare my schedule for the next days, settings some meetups to meet attendees of the conference. Meeting people and networking are my favorite parts when going to conferences. We learn so much from others. When we share a passion like the one about technology, change management, etc., it’s so easy to connect.

After dinner I decided to go to Fremont Street. It’s one of the places to go when you are in Las Vegas. I missed going there in my first two trips to LV. This time I went.

What an amazing time, I spent there ! Visiting the oldest Casinos of the city but also see the ambiance in the street. LV is amazing for entertainment, you can loose track of Time easily in this city.

Here it is end of the day 1. It was already a busy day preparing myself and my schedule for the conference and doing some sightseeing. In LV we loose time very quickly.
